6 miles 64 minutes avg hr 154 max hr 161 Felt good most of the run. Ran the whole way instead of walking some. Felt sluggish in mile 4, but picked up motivation and good form again in mile 5. Ran fast down the few hills. Sprinted into the finish. I was really motivated by Nan's description of what her coach advised about deliberately picking a pace at the beginning that would leave something in the tank for the miles at the end. I had been trying to really push it hard in that first mile, but her comment helped me realize that I needed to start with a wiser (not slow, but not sprinting either) starting pace.
